As you've probably already seen in the Sample Theme, there are a few required html elements that need to be in your theme in order for it to work. Each of the required elements will be populated with predefined html. Here is a list of the required html elements:
* Content Locations (at least one) * Site Heading * Site Subheading * Primary Navigation * Copyright * Powered By
